Review of Food, Inc. (2008) by Ruben C — 29 Jun 2011
I have grown to love films made to inspire social awareness and change. This one had plenty of interesting things to reveal about what goes on in this country's food industry. Perhaps the scariest part was that it did not set out to vilify only the fast food corporations; we already know McDonald's and Burger King are unhealthy, which is why "Super Size Me" did not impress me.
This film makes you question the everyday foods you buy in the supermarket. Not just the sodas and potato chips, but the vegetables and meat as well. Will I be looking at some of the possible alternatives suggested in this movie? Definitely.
Films that strive to change lifestyles: we need more of these.
