Review of Food, Inc. (2008) by Brad H — 23 Sep 2011
Meh, didn't surprise me too much (I grew up in a farming area so I saw lots of it). It's one of those documentaries that tries to manipulate the way you feel by showing shocking images and playing bad music for the corporations and good music for the organic farms.
There was a part in there where they said chicken farmers don't make any money which is just a straight lie. If anything I was impressed at how the processed food industry has managed to achieve such great economies of scale.
I'm sure if people start going organic they'll keep innovating and dominate that industry as well. In the end everyone is responsible for their own choices in what they eat and I think they should know the truth about what it is.
It's not going to stop me from buying the cheaper mass produced stuff most.
