Review of Food, Inc. (2008) by Shari E — 27 Feb 2012
Food, Inc. is a documentary on America's corporate controlled food industry. It takes a look at the genetically modified products, growth hormones and factory farms that are fabricating the food we as unassuming Americans eat each day.
It is a good starting point for those who don't know much about industrialized food production and is an eye opening glimpse about our naiveté of what we are buying at the grocery store. Food, Inc.
also exposes the revolving door between the agricultural industry and high-ranking officials in government who are commissioned with regulating farm industry. This film implores us all to ask the question, "Where does our food really come from?" We should be prepared to hear the answer, which is legislators, not farmers.
