Review of Food, Inc. (2008) by Rorshach S — 30 Mar 2014
A pretty good documentary, but it's bigger on emotion than facts and it is tainted by it's endorsement of organic foods; modern pesticides and insecticides are infinitely safer than they were in the 1960's and the reason supermarkets have jumped on the organic bandwagon is simply because some customers will pay exorbitant prices for undersized, less tasty portions. They love it, supermarkets are making a killing on organics.
There is some interesting stuff in this documentary but Robert Kenner needs to better educate himself about ALL the facts of the food industry. I support GMO labeling but is there a shred of evidence that GM foods are at all unsafe? If there is, this documentary failed to enlighten me.
