Review of Foo Fighters: Back and Forth (2011) by Jonathan B — 09 Apr 2011
I believe Foo Fighters will go down as one of the defining bands from this generation, plain and simple. Dave Grohl and company are that good at making unadulterated rock n' roll. They have a pretty interesting history, too, plus a new album coming out, and thus a documentary was commissioned.
It's definitely a must see for anyone who considers themselves a fan, as it's a great summary of their career while offering new insights along the way. It's not perfect - it could have been longer, delved into Dave's lyrics and a few of their albums more, and interviewed some of the other producers or music peers - but it is an entertaining doc and well made.
As an ardent fan I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I can't wait to see what their next chapter holds.
