Review of Following (1999) by Eric S — 23 Nov 2009
Following shows how much promise Christopher Nolan had; the potential in this film was more fully fleshed out in Memento and Nolan's other subsequent films. As a debut, Following is really impressive.
The disjointed structure is sometimes more distracting than enhancing, but as the twists start happening, it adds to the excitement. Great acting, beautiful black-and-white, a cool script, and a lean runtime make this a good thriller.
