Review of Following (1999) by Joseph M — 06 Jun 2010
Christopher Nolans debut film is a very interesting film. The story is a strange one but thats what the draw to the film was for me. What makes the film great is its non-linear plot structure which keeps the audience guessing until the end.
Its shot in black and white as well which really works in this film as well. The actings pretty good considering the films shoe string budget, and the score is good as well. The films pace seems to drag a little at times despite the length of it plus some things don't make sense until later in the film which is what makes the film good.
It also has great twists and turns which will keep the audience hooked until the end and will make them want to watch it again! Overall its a great debut film by Christopher Nolan that has a weird but good story that makes it worth watching more than once!
