Review of Following (1999) by Ryan H — 10 Jul 2010
A great start for Christopher Nolan. His obsession with film noir really pays off. The movie is shot beautifully and the story is told like a classic noir. He doesn't feel like he needs to explain everything, which seems to be the downfall of most mysteries in films today.
This movie reminded me a lot of Memento, just like how Snatch is like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.
