Review of Following (1999) by Jose M — 02 Oct 2010
Christopher Nolan shows remarkable command of his craft from the word "go." A paranoid thriller filmed in black and white, Following is an interesting little film that explores the nature of human interactions, however fleeting they may be.
The story showcases a similar narrative structure to the one used in "Memento," which makes it confusing to a first time viewer. This is definitely one to be seen multiple times in order to fully appreciate.
Solid, but not stellar.
