Review of Following (1999) by Maggie C — 23 Mar 2012

I really respect this story--the concept, characters, and plot twist are all superb. Like most good Christopher Nolan movies, it demands a lot of focus from the audience. There were some bland, boring moments where I needed higher stakes.

..but the end pretty much redeemed these moments. Visuals were absolutely appropriate and refreshing--loved the gritty, dark black and white, and shots were rich with mystery and secret.
