Review of Following (1999) by Aditya M — 13 Jul 2012
What a fine first film. This is vintage Nolan, and probably on the smallest scale we'll ever see. 'Following' abounds with the director's trademarks, most striking of which is perhaps the tight, non-linear script that keeps the audience guessing right until the very end.
The running time is little over an hour, but that makes for a dense, economical and concentrated experience that is especially enjoyable with the knowledge that the creator of this tiny gem is now making some of the world's biggest movies.
