This film wallows splendidly in paranoia in telling this bizarre story, which unfolds with the urgency of one with fate decided and nevertheless has plenty of tension and even surprises with a final twist.
Nolan's talent would have room to flourish later on, but this first feature length film of his showed just how creative he could be.
