Review of Follow That Bird (1985) by Chance P — 17 Oct 2008
Saw this a lot as a kid and it stands up as an entertaining road movie. Here Big Bird is taken out of Sesame Street and into a family of dodo birds. Big Bird is dissatisfied with his new family and splits.
Each character has their own ride and human sidekicks to hit the road and find Big Bird. There's the tearkerking Bird Bird scene as Big Big eventually gets kidnapped by carnival con artists. The mushroom parade is good too.
Tons of worthwhile cameos. Not better or memorable from Dark Crystal or Labyrinth but is better for kids than a lot of bullshit out there nowadays.
