Review of Focus (2015) by Tatsuhito K — 24 Apr 2015
One of the most disappointing movies I've seen this year. It has way too many twists and turns, and none of them are smart ones. The chemistry between Smith and Robbie is great, the costumes and the set design are gorgeous to look at.
But all that visual charm cannot compensate the film's shallow plot and the dumb payoff. Focus may be dazzling at times, but for the most part it's incredibly stupid and forgettable.
