Review of Focus (2015) by Bryan R — 07 May 2015
The first forty five minutes of this movie were fantastic with a lot of very well thought out twist and a very great intense gambling scene. Immediately after the gambling scene the film completely dropped off and became just a terrible uninteresting movie.
The movie felt like it thought it was better than it really was. After the first fantastic forty five minutes with the great twist and turns, the second half of the film just threw twist after twist at you and none of them felt like they were given any thought before being put in the script.
The ending twist made zero sense when you think about a scene that happened earlier in the film. The movie also tried to become a weird romance movie that kind of felt a little forced and awkward. Overall, I encourage you to see this movie just turn it off after the first forty five minutes.
