Review of Focus (2015) by Hassam A — 12 May 2015
In the beginning of the film, I thought to myself, this is going to be fun. Will Smith and Margot Robbie have undeniable chemistry, the cinematography is slick, and the concept is even slicker. But towards the film's final act I realized that it had quickly descended into ridiculousness, overwhelmed by its own twists and back stabs until it lost its initial wonder.
It was a fun ride, it just doesn't really pay off in the end.
