Focus isn't as clever as it thinks it is, but it's still an entertaining thriller. After catching a grifter trying to pull a con on him, professional con-artist Nicky Spurgeon invites her to join his crew and apprentices her.
Will Smith and Margot Robbie lead the cast and give good performances, but they don't have a lot of chemistry together. Also, the cons don't seem that interesting or dangerous. Although, the directing is able to add some intrigue and excitement to the film.
There are a few hang ups, yet overall Focus is an enjoyable crime drama.
