Review of Focus (2015) by Clinton H — 25 Aug 2015
More insurance to his Dad. The story gets right into it but has something missing regarding a big antithesis. Which was acceptable, each segment had its own one in each. Lack of doth in background for both leafs and his Father was amiss.
The sites and pace and cinematography were well done and I really thought the two scenes in New Orleans were well constructed. Suddenly 3 years later and it just didn't flow. Moved too quickly to main storyline or scene but no depth as to why or where or how, even once revealed.
Sold acting and both leafs did a great job at giving you that yearning to trust and be another but that Eustace that con people take on naturally due to lifestyle. overall. 7/10 - 4/5. Enjoyed it and was energetic throughout.
Just bumpy at times but solid. Coincidentally "Catch me if you can" felt "deja vu'ish' regarding where sorry I'd and why so abruptly with no fill in...
