Review of Focus (2015) by Thegodfatherson — 28 Feb 2015
Focus is an enjoyable caper, that entertains and gives us a whole new look at Will Smith and his acting. The writing and dialogue is slick and catchy, that doesnt over do things. Smith is fantastic is the lead and Robbie does a presentable job as well.
The story is generic, but the elements and the characters of Nicky and Jess have powerful chemistry. Focus works, part black comedy, part thriller. But it suffers from lack of supporting cast that could have made it better.
Rodrigo Santoro's Farraga is your mediocre playboy villian that doesnt add spice to the story. However, Focus is enough thrilling and edge of your seat madness to keep you along for the ride.
