Review of Flying Saucers Over Hollywood: The 'Plan 9' Companion (1992) by Byron B — 29 Oct 2012
Fairly dated since it was made prior to the Burton/Depp movie celebrating Edward D. Wood Jr.. It is a cheaply made doc for a cheaply made cult classic. Some critics and film historians offer their two cents.
Some cast and crew members offer their memories of working with Ed Wood. Maila Nurmi (AKA Vampira) surprised me with her coherent and intuitive interview. The archival clips of Ed Wood making some of his earliest movies and relaxing in home movies were the high points of this special feature on the Plan 9 DVD.
