Don't be so quick to dismiss this movie as your "average run-of-the-mill" action adventure movie, the story was well written, and the acting by James Franco was touching and masterfully done.
Chronicles the true story of "The Lafayette Escadrille" back in World War I, "Flyboys" is energetic, romantic, and dramatic. This movie was well done, yet severely under-appreciated, and that's what is sad.
"Flyboys" was worth the rental and subsequent acquisition of said film.
