Review of Flyboys (2006) by Jim M — 04 Jan 2010
France, 1917: From across the Atlantic young Americans have come to fight in World War I. They will fly in Lafeyette Escadralle, and have their courage tested, idealism mangaled. There life expectancy is 3 weeks.
Ouch. Jean Reno and James Franco are great actors, but there obviously just cashing checks here. Film never makes you care about the characters and the story is plodding. That said the dog fights where cool.
