Review of Flyboys (2006) by Ross P — 05 Oct 2010

Now as you are reading this review, you are probably wondering, why I am writing a positive review for this film. Am I correct??

I am, because I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it for many reasons! it's old style direction. It's fearless visuals. It's sensational acting by James Franco, and the whole main cast.

The soundtrack is not overly abundunt, and keeps me intuned with the movie, while letting me enjoy great music in the background. It amazed how well it worked it out..

This film is sheer popcorn movie entertainment, but wait! What? What's the problem? It's a true story, and it's got way too much action! You need to know about just what he did, and not about all these other people! Right?

Well, that is true, but it is besides the point! This film does just the opposite, and it doesn't destroy anything the movie is trying to accomplish. Although, the old style direction, and visuals, along with the orignal type of war fighting techniques shown in the film, might hinder some viewers, It didn't stop me from enjoying this film at all. Not one bit!

If you enjoy real films, even the true to life, old-fashioned ones, then this is one, you should not miss!
