Review of Flyboys (2006) by Kyle S — 26 Oct 2010
Wow, that was kind of painful. I'd say the script is at fault for most of its terribleness -- none of the characters were interesting, and the stakes were super-low. Sure, you'd think a movie about WWI would be inherently exciting: people's lives are on the line! But somehow this movie managed to make it rather tame. The flights were edited and strung together to make it look like they were toys. By the end I couldn't have cared less if they all died or not. That's not a good sign.
Also, considering the size of their budget, I would have expected better graphics. The green-screening was pretty bad.
