Review of Flowers in the Attic (1987) by Heather R — 10 Mar 2009
I had vauge memories of this movie, so I wanted to see it again and im glad I did, this movie is based on a series of books (which r awsum) by V.C Andrews that chrats the lives of the Dollanganger children, although the movie makes major changes to the story it will always be one of my favs.
The feel of the movie makes up for its straying from the plot, the camera work is amazing eg.seeing the grandmothers dress trail around the door as she leaves the room or the fall of Catherines ballerina, it may not sound impressive but when u watch it, its like wow, and the music although spearingly used adds to the film making moments quite haunting.
I def reccomend this film (also a remake wld be that allwoed for the other books to be made into films aswell).
