Review of Flowers in the Attic (1987) by Jean B — 12 May 2009
I was very, very disappointed in the way Ms. Andrews' book was brought to visual life. I felt cheated. The book is far, far better. However, that fact is sadly true in most cases when books become films. Personally, the movie tarnished the book instead of enhancing it with the beauty of film-making.
If they planned to stray so far from the book, they shouldn't have made it!
