Review of Flow: For Love of Water (2008) by Brian V — 24 Mar 2009
Documentary about the negative effects of mass production and globalization on the worlds water supply. Multinationals have not only contaminated drinking water, but have made it less accessible in the name of profit.
Scarier than Jason, Freddy and Leatherface put together because the events depicted are real, and they are not going away anytime soon. The question being asked over and over again is how entities, whether they be governments, corporations or people can feel as if they own nature.
The basic point of the movie is to amend the Human Rights Code to include a section (31 specifically) for clean, accessible water since it is a fundamental basis of life. Rekevant and informative. I like the way it shows the problem as one all humanity shares.
Not just a specific part of the world or demographic.
