Despite some remarkable sets and fine acting, I was disappointed by this film. Its plot is tiresomely thin and linear, interrupted too many times by the "shrieking soprano." Stretching this true story into a full length film begs the question, " Why choose this story for the screen?" There are surely must be more interesting stories to be re-told.
