Review of Florence Foster Jenkins (2016) by Moviemitch96 — 19 Aug 2016
It had its cute and charming moments and Meryl Streep was a delight to watch as always, however, the film simply couldn't help but feel like nothing more than really forced Oscar bait to me. The story always felt too simple-minded and certain plot points felt as though they were left untied by the film's end, and the ending itself felt rather rushed and like it didn't really resolve much either.
Overall, Streep's performance is the only reason to see this film, but if you're looking for more than that with this film, I'd say it's not really worth it.
