Review of Florence Foster Jenkins (2016) by Jeffrey R — 21 Nov 2017
After a somewhat awkward first few minutes, this movie really picks up and becomes quite endearing. Streep is the story's heart and her badly sung musical moments are some of the funniest scenes in recent cinema history.
Hugh Grant isn't half bad either in his role, with Simon Helberg a real gem as Florence's long suffering pianist (who grows to love her too even through her worst performances).
