Review of Flirting with Disaster (1996) by Annelies S — 14 Dec 2008
I was under the impression that Ben Stiller could only act in good comedies but I was wrong. A few jokes made me laugh but the script in general made me irritated because it was so predictable. To see adult people getting so jealous is so stupid.
It was a script designed for toddlers. I mean, why in the first place should parents take it wrong that their adoptive son wants to look for his natural parents? Isn't that normal? According to the script writer adoptive parents obviously freak out and call the son disrespectful and bad because of his quest for his real parents.
And this is called humour. Oh dear... how funny. NOT.
