Think of the initial sequence of "Up" stretched into one full-length feature. This best describes "Flipped." Fell in love with this movie as early as the first frame. I had to see this twice on the same day.
Rob Reiner just made a perfect companion to his "When Harry Met Sally." More than just a story about young love, it is also about love for one's family, the simple things. Having two narrators share their perspectives about the same story made this engaging.
It also made me think twice about passing judgement on anyone or any situation. The story made me appreciate how my family brought me up to value my character more than wealth or prestige. It made me remember my Lolo Abi who gave so much importance to virtue and hard work.
It also reminded me of my Dad who fostered family life; of my Mom, who makes ends meet without making us feel less privileged. This is one of the films that spoke to my heart and I hope more discover this little gem.
