Review of Flipped (2010) by Dustin H — 28 Apr 2011
I was fascinated at the get-go about this movie. 60s setting, young unrequited love, and sort of coming of age. It was a good combination.The story was told alternating from Bryce and Juli's POV. I think the transitions were perfect.
But it was more than just a love story. Bryce and Juli had to grow up in their world and deal with their families. I liked seeing Bryce struggle with understanding who he is, what he believes in, and who his father is.
He does, in the end, with not enough groveling for my satisfaction, but it was sweet.
