Review of Flipped (2010) by Scott W — 28 Jan 2012

At the heart of this film is a great story of two young people who can't resolve their feelings for each other. The way this plays out is very sweet and effective. Unfortunately, I couldn't help think that the movie could have been a lot better.

Anthony Edwards' one note performance of Bryce's father really bugged me. And some scenes, like when Julie goes to meet her uncle, feel out of place. For the emotional impact of the main storyline, I will recommend this movie.

But this doesn't rank up there with Rob Reiner's best.
