Review of Flightplan (2005) by Russell G — 24 Jan 2012
The movie lays good groundwork and starts off by building a suspenseful situation with the missing child but then drags throughout the middle of the movie. Luckily the ending picks up and things get a little more exciting, but it takes a while.
It was a nice touch to make the viewer question if the main character is sane or not and if there ever was a little girl in the first place. Unfortunately the slow pace persists for too long and the movie suffers for it.
I really liked the cast; Peter Sarsgaard handles the shift in his characterâ(TM)s behavior well and Jodie Foster was emotional yet strong. Although the role is small Sean Bean still did a good job as the captain as well.
