Review of Flightplan (2005) by Amoviec. — 11 Feb 2006
It was a decent movie.....but nothing really very good. The movie begins very confusingly, and very slowly. Things eventually start to pick up as they introduce many suspicious characters, and the script always keeps you guessing.
Unfortunately, your guesses will probably be right; the movie gives itself away fairly early on, and the villains' plans kind of fall apart when you wonder about the details of them after the movie's over.
I found the movie to be interesting, and as I said, it kept you guessing through the whole thing...yet it doesn't move fast enough. It's never really as suspenseful or thrilling as it wants to be.
The movie resorts to cheap tricks to try to fool you; characters giving eachother suspicious glances when (in retrospect) they had no reason to, etc. It was an interesting movie, but overall, it's only average, and as a thriller, it just doesn't thrill.
