Words can't describe what utter pretentious garbage this film is (and I don't lightly use the word pretentious). To remake a classic film is one level of pretension, to be plot-less is another, to avoid professional actors (except Binoche) is another, and to focus on "real-life" monotony is yet another.
... it's just a film that's trying so hard to be quality but utterly fails because it follows a paint-by-numbers format of how-to-make-a-arthouse-film-that-will-be-appreciated-by-dilettantes-but-loathed-by-anyone-with-intelligence-or-taste.
