Review of Flight of the Red Balloon (2007) by Lurking C — 25 Nov 2008

I love Juliette Binoche. Her acting is so intense. The movie really captures the child's life, the carefree uncomplicated life, contrasted with the stress and complications of the the mother's life, juggling many tasks and responsibilities, relationship problems etc.

I loved the filming, so many incredible shots, and the way the director would capture images in reflections of windows of buildings or trains. This is one you could watch over and over - intelligent, touching and captivating.
