Review of Flight of the Navigator (1986) by Steve F — 04 May 2009
Pretty good. For a Disney live-action sci-fi movie, it's amazing. This is good writing...even though the story is 90 minutes and chock full of stuff, it never feels rushed. And given that the target audience are children, it doesn't talk down to them, being very emotional and dark at times.
The only problems are the "Disney Stamps"...the little critter that David adopts for example. The music score is the best!
