Review of Flight (2012) by Duncan1964 — 16 Apr 2015
Flight boasts a powerhouse central performance from Washington as a pilot who averts disaster despite being an alcoholic, but the rambling plot line involving his personal life dilutes the power of the story at its heart.
Apart from Washington, Goodman, Cheadle and Greenwood it's really hard to care about the rest of the characters who add nothing to the story and seem to be there mainly for padding. A brilliant opening and a redemptive finale is padded out with a very weak mid section.
