I want to give this movie 5 stars, but a few things bothered me. The opening sequence is incredible, near the ending had me choked up, but his relationship with Reilly was never of any interest to me. I understand why Gatins wrote the character in, but she was incredibly boring.

This was a solid Denzel performance, what you expect out of him. He played the character believably and you felt as though even though you're watching Denzel that he IS Whip.

Even as the plot dragged through his relationship with Nicole (Reilly), I was still engaged and never looked down to check my email on my phone. Which is a great sign.

Worth the watch.
