Review of Flight (2012) by Shane Z — 11 Jan 2014
1-6-2014.
In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, an airline pilot, who miraculously crash lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly everyone on board. He is called a hero but there is still questions to be answered.
"Flight" is a terrific comeback for Robert Zemeckis to live-action cinema after its been 12 years since he did live-action cinema, and 32 years since R-rated. He gives Denzel Washington a brave and fine performance-it's definitely one of his best.
However, "Flight" is predictable and doesn't have some realism, I say that only for the opening scene because it was terrifying, but in reality a airplane pilot in some condition or addiction is not smart and focused enough to control a plane. And it's just a well- made film, not too enjoyable."Flight" is a good film and Washington is impressive, welcome back to live-action Zemeckis and impressive job too.
