Review of Flight (2012) by Shane D — 29 Jun 2014
The opening half hour, inclusive of the plane crash (surely that's not a spoiler) and the ensuing moments, is as gripping as it gets. From there, the film slowly descends into something less so. Sure, Washington's portrayal of a twisted hero is strong, but it's the legal backflipping of Cheadle that I was most interested in and that ultimately was a plot line not given focus.
A very entertaining film with an amazing beginning.
