I really detest "Horse movies"... I just have never really connected with them and have never felt the connections that ppl typically have in movies where they play significant roles...
THAT being said, I actually really enjoyed this movie. I love the character, Katy, who was wild, passionate and misunderstood. A girl that I think it was easy to connect with. The ending left me with a good impression, the thoughts she shared in her school essay were so true!
