Review of Flicka (2002) by Cindy G — 28 Apr 2012
At first glance, this movie seems like a cute little movie about a girl and her wild horse. It's nothing that has not been visited before. But this movie has something that some of others I have seen are lacking: it has heart.
Lohman who plays the main character infuses the girl with passion and strength. In a way, this movie is like a metaphor because the viewer can see exactly why this girl has the need for the horse. She has the same spirit, and while others are trying to stifle that behavior in horse, they are also trying to make her be something she can never be.
