Review of Fletch (1985) by Joey P — 11 Oct 2010
"Nugent. Ted Nugent".
This film boasts a bevy of belly laughs with Chevy Chase at his finest. Working as newspaper reporter, Irwin Fletcher goes incognito on the streets of LA to bust the drug dealers, but he discovers that the dealing goes beyond small-time pedaling. Throughout the film, Fletch assumes several different identities: including Ted Nugent and Fletch F. Fletch. The comedy comes from the improvisational rate at which Fletch comes up with his names and backgrounds. A surprisingly solid plot helps this movie achieve near-greatness.
