Review of Fletch (1985) by Liam B — 08 Apr 2013
It's hilarious, its a film that takes itself, for the better part of the film, just serious enough to have some drama arise, but funny enough by a long shot to earn it the status of a comedic classic.
Chase is magnetically funny and charismatic like Eddie Murphy, but like Murphy in Beverly hills cop, the film, not far from the end, descends into an action movie that takes itself much much too serious for its script to support.
Therefore, a comedy classic but beware of its blatant 80's style and over played dramatic sequences.
