Review of Flawless (2007) by Aaron D — 05 Jan 2008

I really enjoyed Hoffman in "Ripley" the year before. This film (along with "Love Liza") solidified my faith in him and thus began a love affair that continues to this day. I also never expected De Niro to do a film like this, but apparently (though we don't often have the opportunity to see it) he's good at portraying characters whose intent isn't to gun down and outsmart his opposition.

While his character is a cop, the plot more concerns the development of the man's spirit. Unexpected, and beautiful. Hoffman was SNUBBED!
