Review of Flatliners (1990) by Jared H — 31 Mar 2010
Smart, creepy, thrilling, and thought provoking, "Flatliners" deals with the always interesting idea of dying, being brought back to life, and explaining the experience. This idea triggers a plot of atoning for past sins.
While still solid, the plot itself doesn't quite measure up to the big ideas that it deals with. But there is still a lot of excitement here and some really solid performances from some of our favorite actors when they were younger (Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt).
I really liked this one.
