Fascinating idea, directed well and with a brilyant cast - sutherland is especially awesum - but it loses its way. Lets just say the interestin idea basically descends into a stalk and slash style ghost story.
Its simultaneously good but a disappointment as it could have been so much better. In my opinion its calling out for a good modern remake-without the ghosty sins out to getcha rubbish second half. Incidentally-julia roberts and kevin bacon both have the same haircut.
